Program Details
The radiologic technology (medical x-ray) program is a competency-based health science specialty. The program provides a specialized educational experience, which assesses progress through clinical application evaluations and academic course work. Successful completion of the program (degree and certificate) prepares students for employment as skilled medical imaging practitioners and makes them eligible for state and national certification examinations. Program assessment is conducted by monitoring student success rates on the State and National Certification Examinations. To be eligible for the Certificate of Accomplishment, the student must have an Associate in Science degree in Radiologic Technology. A Certificate of Accomplishment will be granted upon completion of the program requirements.

- Applying Safety Principles: Radiologic Technology Program graduates will be able to perform medical imaging procedures in an ethical and caring manner and apply radiation safety principles on patients, self and others.
- Communication and Problem Solving: Radiologic Technology Program graduates will be able to demonstrate effective communication, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Entry-Level Practitioners: Radiologic Technology Program graduates will be clinically competent to perform as an entry-level practitioners and produce diagnostic quality radiographic images.
- Ethics and Agency: Students will differentiate between various parts of the real estate code of ethics and the standards of professional appraisal practices to explain how agency relationships are created and the duties and liabilities of agents and principals.
- JRCERT: The Radiologic Technology Program will evaluate and assess the following on an annual basis as required by JRCERT accreditation: a. Graduates will pass certification and/or licensing examination b. Graduates will maintain a high level of program completion/retention rates. c. Graduates will report overall satisfaction with the program d. Employers will report overall satisfaction with the graduate's competency and job performance. e. Graduates will obtain employment in radiologic technology. f. Students will maintain a high level of success and completion for each course
