The Behavioral and Social Sciences meta-major offers multiple AA degrees and certificates that can build your earning potential, as well as AA-T degrees to prepare for transfer to a university in majors like Anthropology, Communication Studies, Economics, Art History, History, Ethnic Studies, Philosophy, Liberal Studies, Political Science, Psychology, and Sociology.

    The Industry and Technology meta-major provides education in 12 specialized departments helping students achieve career goals. Through our educational and business partnerships, we offer innovative training opportunities for students to transfer to a 4-year university, retrain to gain further skill development, or be employed in the private, business, or government sectors.

    The Business Meta-major offers a wide variety of courses in business, real estate, law, and information systems disciplines. The courses in our programs are designed to help students pursue immediate career goals and objectives while also preparing them for transfer to a four-year college or university. After completing our programs, students are well-equipped to work in their field of interest as well as advance to four-year degree programs. The Business Division combines quality faculty with current practical experience in their disciplines and state-of-the–art computer facilities. Our division is dedicated to helping students achieve their maximum potential by providing excellent academic programs and services.

If you have the Warrior mindset and want to find your path to help others and serve your community the Community Health and Wellness Meta-Major is for you. It offers coursework that provides a good foundation and can lead to promising academic and career paths. Associates degrees, certificates, AS-T, and Industry Certifications are all options within this large, diverse field of study. The departments of Administration of Justice, EMT, Fire, Nursing, Physical Education/Kinesiology, Recreation, Radiologic Technology and Respiratory Care are ready to serve you and fulfill the mission of the WARRIOR.

    Creativity is an integral part of humanity. The study of studio art, cosmetology, dance, fashion design, film and video, music, photography, and theater are essential to preparing for a future in a world of self-expression. Opportunities abound in design, visual and performing arts in related industries, private businesses, public performances, and exhibitions. These majors offer Associate of Arts degrees and Certificates of Achievement.

  6. Languages, Composition, and Journalism
    Languages, Composition, and Journalism programs study written, oral, and physically expressed communication. This area prepares students to communicate effectively in various situations, such as writing a college essay, speaking a second language, interpreting sign-language, creating articles, photos, and other content for the college newspaper and website, and cultivating creative writing skills. Students who complete these programs may be employed by private business, government, or themselves.
